NEWCare has an opening available for a Licensed Practical Nurse to fill a full-time, evening, (PM) Charge Nurse position.  Duties of a Charge Nurse include:

*Assess and monitor skilled nursing facility patient health problems.

*Administer nursing care.

*Implement care plans and maintain medical records.

*Maintain a  leadership role assignment with direct care nursing staff.

*Although the opening is for full-time, part-time inquiries may be considered and will be discussed in interview.

*Required to work every other weekend/every other holiday.

Full-time status is achieved at 30 hours and includes health, dental and life insurance benefits.  Both full-time and part-time positions allow participation in 401K and accrue paid time off (PTO).  PTO combines the time away from work traditionally given as vacation, personal, and holiday pay into a single integrated plan.

Wage is based on experience and will be discussed in the interview.

For the appropriate candidate wanting to work every weekend, an incentive of $2.00/hour will be added to the base wage with one weekend off per quarter.  Individuals accepting this type of schedule may accrue hours to achieve full-time status.

NEWCare Convalescent Center has part-time positions open in the Dietary Department for applicants that enjoy serving and cooking for the elderly.  Part-time positions will provide interaction with residents and patients and are desirable for those that are looking to supplement income or to add to personal self-fulfillment.  For individuals interested in growth opportunities as a caregiver, these positions offer exposure to long term care and could result in financial support for education to become a Certified Nursing Assistant or Personal Care Worker for employment within NEWCare.

Part-time positions may be combined for the appropriate candidate to provide full-time employment and additional benefits.  Will train the appropriate individual.

Cook:

  • Responsible for volume preparation of foods
  • Preparing nutritional meals and serving meals in an attractive manner
  • Maintain a high standard of sanitation and safety
  • 2nd Shift opening: 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, working four to six days per two-week pay period, with the opportunity to pick up day shift openings

The position requires individual to work every other weekend and holiday.  An “Every Weekend” incentive of $2.00/hour will be added to base wage for an individual who is willing to accept work every weekend.  Additionally, “Every Weekend” work may change status of position from part-time to full-time, where full-time benefits would apply.

Currently there are FULL-TIME openings for the Evening (2PM – 10PM) shift:

*PM SHIFT – $.50/HOUR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL ADDED TO BASE WAGE.

*8 HOUR SHIFT OPENINGS – 2PM-10PM

*12 HOUR SHIFT OPENING – 2PM-2AM MAY BE AVAILABLE AND AVERAGES A SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL OF $.67/HOUR

*EVERY WEEKEND INCENTIVE; WORK EVERY WEEKEND ADD $2.00/HOUR TO BASE WAGE.

*All assigned shifts require the individual to work every other weekend/every other holiday.

*Full-time status is gained by working 30 or more hours per week where full-time benefits apply

*Requests for part-time will be considered.  Part-time positions include Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual.

*Resident Care Technicians must be CNA certified.  These individuals will continue to provide traditional CNA cares and functions, but with a reduced resident-to-staff ratio, they will also be participating in the creation of care plans and providing activities for their group in an expanded role in order to provide better resident/patient care.
